Crescentine in padella - "Crescentine" (bread discs) cooked in the pan



(Both italian and english recipe).


Queste crescentine sono davvero veloci! pronte in 30 minuti! 
Buonissime con salumi e formaggi ma anche con mozzarella e pomodoro....

Ingredienti (12 crescentine):
125 gr. farina 00,
125 gr. farina manitoba,
1 cucchiaino di sale,
1 cucchiaino di zucchero,
1 cucchiaio di Olio Extravergine di Oliva,
1 bustina di lievito istantaneo per pane,
75 ml. di acqua,
75 ml. di latte.


Preparazione:
Mettere l'acqua, il latte, lo zucchero ed il lievito nella planetaria, aggiungere l'olio poi la farina ed infine il sale.
Azionare la planetaria a velocità 2 (o quella indicata per la panificazione) fino a quando l'impasto risulterà liscio,compatto ed omogeneo (6-8 minuti).

Stendere l'impasto su una spianatoia infarinata con un mattarello fino ad arrivare ad uno spessore di circa 8-10 mm. Tagliare con un coppapasta del diametro di 8 cm e ricavarne all'incirca 12 dischi.
Coprire le crescentine con un tovagliolo facendole riposare per almeno 15 minuti. 
Scaldare una padella dal fondo spesso a fiamma dolce. Cuocere le crescentine 4-5 minuti per lato. 



Riporle su un canovaccio e coprirle (consentirà alle crescentine di rimanere morbide e fragranti più a lungo).
Farcire a piacere.

These crescentine are very fast to be prepared! They ar ready in only 30 minutes!

Delicious either with ham and cheese or  mozzarella and tomato ....

Ingredients (12 crescentine):
125 gr. 00 flour,
125 gr. Manitoba flour,
1 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil,
1 teaspoon instant yeast,
75 ml. of water,
75 ml. of milk.

Directions:
Put water, milk, sugar and yeast in the kneder, add then oil, flour and finally salt.
Operate the planetary speed 2 (or theone indicated for breadmaking) until the dough is smooth, compact and homogeneous (6-8 minutes).
Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin until you get to a thickness of about 8-10 mm. Cut with a pastry ring with a diameter of 8 cm and cut about 12 discs. Cover with a towel your "crescentine" making them rest for at least 15 minutes.
Heat a thick-bottomed pan on low heat. Cook crescentine 4-5 minutes per side.

Cover with a lid while cooking.

Once cooked, place them on a towel and cover them with it  (this let crescentine staying soft and fragrant longer).
Fill them of your choosing.
